Big and small ideas put to work
We are designed to support any type of community or individual neighbor interests with a specific purpose of providing educational opportunities for volunteers. We have partnered with feed Phoenix, Aim Right Ministration, Chicanos por la Casa, Trellis and individuals who have inspirations to help make Phoenix be the best version of itself. We have helped create a platform for people to donate food within the community, with back to school backpack giveaways, music events and more. We have also helped individuals create and advertise their productions for sale at First Friday. When there is a need within our community, we do our best to provide.
Our primary goal is to educate ourselves by utilizing the resources and assets within our own communities and minds. When we all work for an individual interest, we can accomplish more.
Our amazing team of regulars and part-time volunteers are committed to helping others. We take our convictions and turn them into action. Think you would be a good fit? Get in touch for more information!
Goals
To provide volunteers and volunteer opportunities to members for the purpose of educating practical skills for contemporary living and vocational training for contemporary work.
Seeing a need for energetic, nonprofit work in this area, we formed our organization to provide sensible solutions. We've consistently grown since then, all thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community!
My name is Neil Berger. I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I graduated from Cortez High School in 2001 with an advanced degree; I intended to go to community college. In September of that same year, the country was attacked by a deliberate force that was worse than Pearl Harbor. I joined the armed services and was recruited by the Navy to work as a cryptological electronics warfare intelligence operative and was shipped right to bootcamp. After we invaded Afghanistan and Iraq, I returned home to get my degree in education. What I had witnessed during my service had a profound effect on me. I returned home then graduated from ASU's Mary Lou Fulton College of Education in 2010 and began teaching at Wilson Elementary for the next three and a half years.
Hello, my name is Abigail Berger. I have lived in Phoenix, AZ my whole life and I have grown to truly love my city. Community service & engagement has always been a part of my life. I grew up surrounded by it! I love making connections with other non-profits, local businesses, and individuals who want to use their knowledge and skills to support their commuity. My favorite educational quote is from Bill Nye. He says, “Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don’t.” and I love just how fascinatingly true and empowering that is. Everyone is an expert at something, and I love being able to be a part of cultivating that confidence through compassion. Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me!
