My name is Neil Berger. I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and graduated from Cortez High School in 2001 with an advanced degree, intending to go to Community College. In September of that same year, the country was attacked by a deliberate force that was worse than Pearl Harbor. I joined the armed services and was recruited by the Navy to work as a cryptological electronics warfare intelligence operative and was shipped right out to bootcamp for the invasion. After we invaded Afghanistan and Iraq, I returned home to get my degree in education after what I had witnessed during my service. I graduated from ASU Mary Lou Fulton College of Education in 2010 and began teaching at Wilson Elementary for the first 3 and a half years.
Hello, my name is Abigail Berger. I have lived in Phoenix, AZ my whole life and I have grown to truly love my city. Community service & engagement has always been a part of my life. I grew up surrounded by it! I love making connections with other non-profits, local businesses, and individuals who want to use their knowledge and skills to support their commuity. My favorite educational quote is from Bill Nye. He says, “Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don’t.” and I love just how fascinatingly true and empowering that is. Everyone is an expert at something, and I love being able to be a part of cultivating that confidence through compassion. Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me!
Your contribution will enable us to support our employees and continue operations. We are very grateful for your generosity.
